Dusty’s Story

Dusty was born in 1998 and arrived with Rush on February 8, 2004. Dusty was six years old and had already delivered three foals. She was heavily pregnant, and delivered a healthy colt on May 16, 2004. She retained her placenta due to the extreme stress of being shipped to Arizona and required a lot of veterinary care. Her colt was adopted at almost two, by a loyal Dreamchaser volunteer who also adopted Tucala. It took Dusty almost a year to be comfortable with having her legs touched and her feet picked up.

Dusty was trained for riding and over the years participated in many Dreamchaser birthday parties, trail rides, events for foster children, and fundraisers.  Now in Missouri, she is enjoying the green pastures.
